Well, I failed to comment on this during the challenge. Nothing specific stands out, but it is an overall great image for the feeling you get from it. Very well done.

This was a great entry. I scored it a 7.

I love the depth in this shot. The fence close up leading to a hill off in the distance leading to the dance hall. The clouds add alot to the depth as well. :) You wrapped everything that 20 challenges has yet to teach me into one shot! (aka, you've just made me realize something I've been missing in alot of my shots. Thanks!!)

Congrats on a top 100 score in your first challenge!!

Shez, you did really good in your first challenge!! You have such a great eye for what makes an interesting photo, and I have a feeling it won't be long before you are right up there on the front page where you belong! :)

I knew this was in Australia. It reminded me of the old Yarralumla Woolshed in Canberra, where they used to have country dances.
Good use of the gate.

Well done Shez.

Keeping the fence line in frame added foreground interest to the shot which IMHO always helps in landscapes.

Love the vibrant colors here. Just bold enough but they don't look over processed. Nicely done!

The sky looks a bit strange and pixelated. Overal the image is oversharpened (halos around edges) but strangely soft in the details. Composition is okish.

The fence in the foreground adds an interesting element here. For some reason, though, the sky (blue part) looks kinda blotchy.

Interesting shot, is this really a dance hall built up off the ground? I like the include of the fence given the shot more depth.

focus or over-sharpened a bit off to me.

A good depiction of country life, the lead in of the gate and the colors stand out, with the contrast of the hall....10

I like the rich greens and blues. That rusty read is a great added color to the mix. The open gate makes me think I'm about to walk through into "another world." Good job! 8

Wow! What a cool composition. I love the angle of that fence in the foreground, and that old, old dance hall is to die for. Great colors. Very well done!! 10
