Challenge: Abstract II (Advanced Editing IV)
Camera: Canon EOS-10D
Lens: Sigma 50mm f/2.8 EX Macro for Canon
Location: Home studio
Date: Feb 1, 2006
Aperture: 8
ISO: 200
Shutter: 1/125
Galleries: Abstract, Nude
Date Uploaded: Feb 5, 2006

A breast and an arm, seen from behind, backlit from below. The image is rotated 90 deg clockwise. Did you figure it out? Leave me a comment or PM me, I'm curious if anyone figured it out!

Very little postprocessing was needed to get rid of the background (it was mostly black to begin with). Spot-edited a few skin blemishes, dodged and burned a bit to even the shadows. Adjusted curves, used DigiDan's B&W conversion action, and sharpened.

What an interesting image! I'm still struggling to figure it out even though I know what it is! Great job and very true to the challenge! Should've scored better!!!

Nice photo that stands out from the pack. I never would have figured this out if you hadn't explained it!

At first I thought it was a thigh as the long part of the 7, but was working on what the top was. I love nudes that move into abstraction and really maintain the viewers attention.

Gets more than a 7 from me. An intriguing image, I find. Lovely lighting.

Beautiful composition. As I can't recognize formerly what part of the body is here, it meets perfectly the challenge.

Very good work. Great shapes, lines and balance. The hard lighting and the cut in the top left corner is a bit out of tune with the rest.

Very original. Exellent use of light. I'm frustrated that I can't figure out what part of human body is it =) Would like to see 1,2,3,4,5,6,8 and 9 as well.

very nice. trying to figure out which parts of the body are photographed, and can't :). the only thing I'd change is to blur the sharp border between black and white at the top of the image.

Is your title trying to subliminally elicit 7s from voters? It almost worked with me. I did find my finger veering towards the 7 key. It slipped one in the end, though.
