Just got myself a new camera, and was walking along the canal, took this picture still unsure of all the controls and ended up with this unusual shot. I'm sure some will think it fake, so I've tried to be as detailed as possible in the details here.

1) Crop, Levels, Crop, Curves (to darken)
2) USM, Hue/Sat (increase duck colours a little, and make the water a little more natural)
3) Crop, Image Size, USM
4) Save for web

Gave this an 8. Worked well. Even sharper would have made it even better, but difficult.

Great close-up, using off-centered as the focus of this image.....

Wow ... it's beautiful but almost doesn't look real. Nice composition and the bubbles make it unusual.

Superb sharpness. I love the glossy the bill, and the water looks almost like silk.

WOW! the movement in the water makes this a stunning shot...crystal clear crisp focus and wonderful droplets on the head 9

maybe just a little too much neat image smoothing. Great effect on water.

strange that the duck is so crisp but the water looks like a long exposure.

hard time telling if that is a real duck or an extremely well painted decoy, nice macro in either case
