Aperture: F/8

Shutter: 1/1000 sec

Date Uploaded: Jan 24, 2006

I was really struggling with the wildlife photo and then saw this lone tree when driving home one day. It reminded me of a website I was looking at //www.westongallery.com/kenna1.htm, I then did some more research //www.michaelkenna.net and I wanted to give an impression of minimalism with the heavy vignette that many of this pictures have.

I cropped, did a B&W conversion, levels, brightness, then applied a vignette to the picture, tiny USM then resize and border.

Hope people realise that the vignette is integral to the style of Kenna. Anyway I really enjoyed this and studying some photographers

That is very minimalist. I like a lot the style, great contrast, maybe the grass (or the field?) should have been a little bit sharper. 9

I like the simplicity a lot in this image, but I have problems with horizons slanted in this way.....

Endearing and so captivating with its sparse main subject place right on the horizon line. A very good tribute. Bumping up.
