i scored this high because i appreciated the hard realism of the shot. I liked the overall darkness but in some places that became a bit of a problem, notably the left thigh. Nor did i particularly care for whatever was on her lower legs ?? But, what i liked a lot of this shot is the aesthetics. Absolutely, yes, aesthetics. I liked the proud look of this woman who says "This is who i am, this is how most real women look. I have gone through the ropes, i have born children, i wear the scars of life". Please give my highest compliments to your model. In fact, she reminds me of many a model during my lifedrawing sessions and it wouldn't surprise me if she is one as she certainly knows how to pose. One of the things i enjoyed about this shot is the proud look on her face.
Well done, zeuszen, and thank you.

I realize you are going for a stylistic extreme here, but I don't like the result. I don't know why she's wearing sunglasses or those things around the bottom of her legs. They don't seem to fit into the shot very well. The lighting is harsh, and it doesn't seem to create an interesting effect. The framing here is wide, and doesn't seem to function well either. I'm sure all the things I've pointed out you were already aware of and intended to be as they are, so I suppose this won't be very helpful, but at least you know why I didn't like the shot.

The lighting is excellent.

Nice line on the leg, water is interesting. Shot is anything but boring, run of the mill. Use of unique model adds to the creativity of the shot. Good B&W tones. One question/concern, Did the model want you to use her real name?

It takes alot of guts for an older chubbier woman to show us her birthday suit. Much respect, if I could vote i'd give it an 8.

What can I say..... (is the right leg charred?)

I like the effect of the water - the patterns and shdows on her leg. I wish there was more of this tho - the darkness of the rest of the shot makes it hard to put into context - if more of her body were underwater it would be more cohesive. Also it is such a natural, honest shot, I find the sunglasses take away form that.

Lighting is great, so is the contrast. 6

Because of the poor exposure it's hard to judge the shot. I see an older woman in the water but it's hard to see any real detail.

I like this a lot, with a couple of exceptions. Firstly, I'm definitely not keen on the sunglasses or the way the water ripples over her lower leg. It sort of cuts up into the flesh of her thigh too - so the shape and size of her thigh doesn't feel quite right to me.
Secondly I'd like just a touch more light on the foreground arm. Not too much, as I like that some parts of her just merge into the blackness, but a touch more would be my preference.
I love the relaxed pose and the suntan shapes...

I would like to see more of the arms.

composition could have been more subtle?

Not sure I understand what's going on here. I'm sure there is some meaning to it that eludes me and is more personal. My submission is the same way. Still, this is a very good image and the editing you've done on it is effective.

without the sunglasses, this could almost remind me of renaissance art with very curve models who were not stick thin, however, I think there are too many mixed genres going on in this shot to clearly give off one message.
