i had decided that even though my lifeisnotmadeup project style is much the abhor of dpc voters, since it was such a significant part of my year, i would not be true to myself if i didnt use an image fromit.
I choose this image because it has connections with dpc and because it was a marker for the end of the project.
smilebig4me1x had taken me out to dinner for my b'day (and my 4th) to a chinese resturant. I brought my fortune cookie home with me - cracking it open, the first thing i see is the number 23 - my years of age on my coming birthday 2 days away, which also signified the end of linmu.
Personally i found a touch of mysticism in the 23 jumping out of the fortune cookie at me.

This is a wonderfully wow photo. As a matter of fact, I find all of your linmu photos excellent - and I'm not just trying to suck up here either. You're one hell of an excellent photographer - beyhond that you're a hell of an excellent artist, I'm always so humbled by your ability.
Sorry, I wasn't seeing what this was and until I asked my wife, I couldn't tell what it was. I feel that the lighting is too harsh and the subject is too difficult to understand. I hope you understand what I'm trying to say. JMO
the lighting here seems all wrong - it is mauch too harsh. I don't really get the meaning behind this image - not even with the title. Actually the just makes me get it even less.
Having a hard time telling exactly what this is, I'm pretty sure it's a fortune cookie being broken open... Would've liked to see a little more of what was going on.
Not sure I understand the photo or its relation to the title, but I think it works quite well as a standalone piece. I like the strong contrast and chaotic composition.
