Okay... Recipe for Omelette with Lox, Spinach and Feta. I don't use amounts, sorry.

Spinach sauteed in butter or olive oil
Roma tomatoes diced
Lox
Feta
Scallions, diced
3 eggs
1 Tbsp. Cream Cheese

In a blender, mix eggs and cream cheese. Set aside.

Put a Tbsp of scallions and blended eggs into a hot oiled/buttered/PAM'ed skillet. Let cook until the edges begin to curl/brown. Flip gently.

On one half of the omlette place lox, tomatoes, spinach, feta. Fold in half and place on plate. Add toast and drink of choice. Enjoy!

Edit: Crop, Brightness/Contrast, Resize, Unsharp Mask, Save for Web.

I'll probably get comments about over sharpening or unfocused spots. I realized after shooting that I was shooting shallow DOF instead of wider and had to compensate using Unsharp Mask.

i only have two nits with this image: 1) the place of the drink throws a shadow onto the plate, and 2) the visibility of the backdrop, especially where it hits the table. other than that, excellent work, especially given that this was shot and processed for a basic editing challenge. i'm faving it as an example of something i need to try. thanks!

First Impression - the most important one: Looks like a tasty meal!!

Composition: Composition looks good. Everything is framed nicely and there is plenty to look at, as well as plenty of "negative" space. I like the placement of the ingredients on the left and the meal on the right.

Subject: Good choice of subject and I love that you included all the ingredients too. You have some nice colors in the meal and in the ingredients, which gives good variety to the shot.

Technical (Colour, focus, and light): Focus looks good, though I can see what you mean in your comments about oversharpening. I think you did pretty good on it though--not as bad as you thought. It does look a tad oversharp, but nothing horrible :-) Colors look good in this shot, though a tad bit of saturation in the reds and greens might make things pop a bit more. Lighting looks good, though a little uneven. The left side of the photo is considerably darker than the right side (though not so much that you can't see the left side or anything). I think you have the right level of light, but maybe could consider adding some more from the left.

To grow its vote?: To grow its vote, I think more balanced lighting would help. You've definitely got enough to pick up nice detail on the food, but I think a little more would add to the scene. Also, though the colors are certainly true to life, slightly saturated colors tend to pop more on the web and to viewers.

Summary: Great image for this challenge, with good composition. You had a good idea and you followed through on it well!!

Nice arrangement with good colors. You mght consider adding some lighting from the right side to better illuminate the spoon and fork and the shaded area of bread. You might consider making the background a little brighter so it shows up better or making it solid black all together. Even though there is a little haloing in places and some jaggies on a few rounded edges it does not appear overfocused.

nice photo. the lighting is great here. I like how you have a completed omlet with all of the ingredients as well. it obvious you put a lot of thought into the photo and it should pay off. great job

You've out done yourself including all the ingredients and a beverage with the finished dish, what time do we eat ;) 8

Bloody Marys for breakfast? What tie do we eat? :))

Beautiful! Maybe balance the composition a little more by moving the (raw) eggs off the cutting board and into that lonely, dark upper right corner and spreading the ramekins out a bit.

Very nicely done. I like everything in focus and the dark bacground works well. The silverware is a distraction (I probably would like to see them on the plate or ommitted) 7

Nice composition and colours. I like the bright colours with the dark woodgrain background. Added touch may have been to slip a napkin under the fork and knife so that you don't lose the end of the knife blending into the darkness there.

...and a Bloody Mary...

Nice presentation, a little dark on the right, the bread sort of fades into the background in one spot.

vivid colors but they seem a little bit washed out, except for that everything else is really ok

Photo is a little too busy ... perhaps feature the omelette in the foreground and the ingredients behind?

mmmm....

Nice composition. The lighting is a little harsh - I would have liked some softer lighting, to bring out the rich colors in your food selection. Using a shallower DOF and focusing in on omlette with the incredients surrounding it or in the background might have made a stronger composition (IMO). Nicely done though - well thought out.

Interesting presentation of ingredients and finished item. Feels cramped by the close crop, perhaps you tried to include too much in the frame.
