 moth among Colorado Lupine. Shot with 300mm with two extension tubes, +0.3 light. This shot was one of approx. 75 of the same moth flying between flowers in direct sunlight at approx. 8,500 ft. in mtns. I like this one best since the dof included a backgroung white lupine and yellow sunflower to right.

ok capture, a bit soft all around, color ok, dof nice, subject needs to be sharper, b&w need tweeking, light ok, comp nice, overall ok

Great shot of an extremely fast moth. Love that you actually caught him/her in the act of drinking. Crisp focus on the head, would have loved stop action on the wings but they move so quickly it would be very difficult, I know as I have taken a few of this type moth. Well done and good luck
