The real ironic part of this photo is that these were the last 2 flowers on the entire plant. The plant had dried up while I was out of town for a couple weeks. This photo looks 10 times better knowing what the rest of the plant looked like. :^)

The photo is as taken. I adjusted the size and saved for the web.

Need more of the shot in focus. Use a smaller apreture setting. The closer you are to the subject the more "effect" your apreture has on depth of field.

This is lovely, a beautiful capture, but there does not seem to be a true focus point for the eye the rest on.

Soft, but maybe a little to soft...

Good use of backlighting. I like the angle you've portrayed.

The interesting bits seems to be out of focus. Hard to stand out in the macros with flowers/bugs crowd I'm afraid... All this imo, obviously. Good luck!

Lovely colours, but nothing in the image seems to be in focus. The image would have been stronger, I think, if at least a small area had been in sharp focus.

good dof, but i feel like i'm not looking at the prettiest part of the flower -- you know what i mean? like we're in the dark underside of it. but the color of it is way cool.

Is this the most interesting thing you have seen during an entire year? I'm sorry.

I like the shallow DoF but I feel that a little bit more of teh shot should be in sharp focus.

Good contrast between the petals and the background and the image fills the frame nicely, but it's lacking in focus.

I like the DOF and contrast of colors here.
