1 tsp. granulated sugar
1 cup 110 degree water
1 cup warm milk
2/3 cups granulated sugar
2/3 cup melted butter OR margarine
2 tsp. salt
2 eggs - slightly beaten

----------------------------------FILLING-----------------------------------
1 1/2 sticks margarine; softened

1 ts vanilla
1/8 ts salt

-Mix together 1 1/2 cups sugar and the cinnamon; set aside.
-In a small bowl, dissolve yeast and 1 tsp. sugar in warm water; set aside.
-In a large bowl, mix together milk, 2/3 cup sugar, 2/3 cup melted butter, salt, and eggs; add yeast mixture and 4 cups of flour to mixture; beat until smooth; stir in enough flour to form a slightly stiff dough.
-Turn dough out onto a well-floured surface and knead for 8 minutes.
-Place dough into a large greased bowl, cover, and allow to rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 - 1 1/2 hours.
-Punch down dough and let rest for 5 minutes.
-Roll dough out onto a floured surface into a 15" X 20" rectangle.
Spread filling all over the surface of the rectangle
Roll up, tightly, Jelly Roll style
Slice 1 inch thick and place in pan, room temperature for 15 minutes

Bake @ 325F until golden brown ( approx 15-20 min)
When warm from the oven spread with icing, thick! It will melt into the rolls..

Mmmm..

Yummy cooking, colors, and composition. Good sharpness and DOF. Background elements are probably unnecessary clutter, could fill with just a few extra berries. Love it and can almost taste it.

I couldn't make out the powdered sugar at first until after I noticed it on the plate - I wonder if for the shot it would have looked better without - looks yummy though - lighting and focus seem great :)

The composition and the arrangement are fine and the strawberries add needed color. The white flakes seem washed out and act more as a distraction from the overall quality of the image rather than a support for it.

Although I think the strawberries frame the subject well, the errent one in the middle is kind of out of place - sometimes I think this would work, I'm not sure it does here

Seems a bit overexposed. The white flecks detract from the general appetizing look of the rolls. Perhaps you used too bright a light. Maybe a lower wattage, or positioning the light further away would have softened the flecks. Also, even just placing a handkerchief over the front of the light might have taken some of the sharp highlights away, or perhaps turning it away from the food and bouncing it off of a white board. Try different lighting ideas to get the right balance.

nice perspective, nice colours, and great lighting, though some areas are just a bit too bright, which ruins it for me. Apart from that a great shot.

The buns look yummy and I will be sure to check and see if you have posted this recipe! Nice colour on the strawberries. The silver utensil at the top of the photo is distracting as is the shadow and bit of other plate showing on the right top.

mmm, cinnamon rolls, i like the idea, good choice of colours, maybe a little bit overexposed, you could've use a dark plate to make a contrast with the top of the rolls, good idea with the fork on the right but it's not good that you cut it that way. if you cropped out the top of the pic and the things in background it would have been better.
Nice idea though

We college students would like you to come cook for us :) Excellently composed image. Great use of color and vibrancy to achieve a well metered, right-on dof image submission. If photography doesn't work out for you, just be a chef :)
