Damn Pitsaman.

Ya fooled me, I thought this was Sammie's. You did good on the Dunes and Herrick Peak. You should have let us know you were near, we could met and had a cup coffee.

Nice shot. Van

Great image... meets the challenge well... I take it that is a natural phenomenon. You have captured it well... Well composed. The sky does not seem as blue as I would have expected for that time of day. Do you use a circular polarizer?

excellent choice for this challenge. the initial impact is very strong. after looking at it a bit more I find myself wishing that the reds weren't so heavily saturated; in some areas, they're almost flat color fields. Other than that, I really like this picture... it has a lot of depth and texture to it. the grasslands in the foreground hold a lot of interest, and the partial desaturation is very effective.

Sorry, but I really don't like the burst of red here. It looks completely fake.

Great landscape shot. The deep dof and detail in this are great. Curious to see the location description and camera settings after the challenge ends..... 7

Cool, but the red in the image at the peaks is overpowering. Too much oomph. I think it could have been toned down a bit using a mask or something.

Very unique photo for sure. Beautiful and excellently executed.

Now just to wait for the end of the challenge to see if guessed right on the photographer.

is it really red like that or did you over saturate it?
