 Did color variation on a selection of the eye, then repeated for the pupil. Slight adjustment in levels and brightness/contrast.

Nice focus on the eyes here. IMHO the lighting detracts somewhat from the photo as it seems harsh on the subjects face and gives a slight 'snapshot' feel. Perhaps selective desaturation and a tighter crop of the face may have helped?
