| Too much of a good thing... ;-) I scored it a 5 during the challenge. Everything is technically pretty much okay, but compositionally it's a bit scattered and overwhelming. Difficult for the viewer to focus on anything in particular. I agree that perhaps with fewer cupcakes and sprinkles (I could come over and eat some for you) it would work. =D |

Well, two for me, it's dessert time...LOL.
The focus and DOF is OK, but I thimk Rikki is right, too busy. Too many places want to catch my attention at the same time. Try it again with less. It's easy, you make the phot with ll, then eat one and try, then another one... till none is left... |

| Sprinkles.... layered edge to edge over soft frosting - erratic, floating and whimsical. I think good baking.... or rather image making. |

| Overall impression is a bit bland with an excess of white. Perhaps some depth with space between each bun would have worked better. |

| Macros like this convey, to good effect, the illusion that the cupcakes go on forever. The whites are nicely bright without any grossly overexposed areas. The bead topping adds much needed color. The shallow DOF of this image would be even more effective if a cupcake with more beads was placed in the absolute center of the frame and in sharpest focus. |

| Oh dear, it's like over exposure on this. Honestly, if you don't mind me being blunt, it hurts my eyes. The sprinkles contrast in white is great, but I think the white is over done. Say if you could have taken a shot of 3 of them together showing a bit of skin of the actual dessert, I think it would have been more appealing. Your focus is good, but the lighting may have been a bit too strong as well. It's a job well done, but it's on overload, so I gave this one a 5. |
