| Great combo of city & mountains. The headlights of car coming towards you are just a little bright. But the texture of the mountains makes up for it! |

| I think the car lights actually hurt this image quite a lot. Just the city and the mountains in the BG would be really nice, especially given the exceptional clarity and detail in the mountains. |

| I think I would have cropped the bottom part of. the white area detracts too much from tha beautiful mountains and sky and the area with little lights just at teh bottom of the mountains would have been enough to bring "city" into it. |

I love this shot and have given it a 9.
However. i feel that this could have been the winner if the crop was slightly different. i feel that the road in the foreground takes away from the wonderful mountains in the distanced. i would be interested to see it cropped just above the street lights... Still a great shot and i hope it scores well for you.
Just my uneducated, humble opinion.

I like the dramatic juxtaposition here. The transition from city to mountains and sky is so stark and spectacular as to appear unrealistic. And yet it is real. I'll guess somewhere in Colorado, USA?
It's probably not really about city life in the sense that some of the more visceral images in the challenge are, but it is at least a photograph of a town that might be a city, and its quality of visual surprise makes it a worthy and legitimate entry. |

| i would have cropped this just before that powerline this would have been great with just the mountains and the lights directly at its base. that light on the bottom is very distracting |

| The contrast between the big mountains and the city lights is very nice. I might have cropped out the bottom 1/4 of the pic, to show only the small lights and the mountains, as I find the big light blur distracting, but! it's nice anyway. |

| apart from the burned out headlights....it's an awsome shot...love the fact that you managed to bring out the detail in the mountains and sky. i would have cropped the small bit of branch out of the top left of the shot. looking at this shot some more..did you think of cropping it just above the starburst street lights? |

Relevant to the Challenge? Mixed feelings. One could argue that citylife should actually show LIFE/LIVING/LIVELINESS.
Is subject unique? Yes
Compostion: Good or Bad? How can it be fixed? The focus should be the mountains and the city. The tree and lit road draw the eye away from the city and mountain. Is there anything else that should be removed? I'm not fond of the intersection and traffic light, personal preference.
Good use of Depth of Field? Yes
Good use of light? Yes and no. I like the natural light on the mountains. Good Exposure time, but the overblown headlight trail detracts from the image.
What is my reaction or feelings? The mountains are very majestic, but the city seems to be an afterthought. The bottom 1/4 make the image average.
