Took this in the spring. This was a barn I'd always said I'd paint if I knew how -- then I got my camera. :) When I'd had it about a month and a half I was on my way home from a doctor's appointment, having just had surgery two weeks before, and I told my husband I wanted to photograph the barn on the way home. I ended up walking about a quarter of a mile in a great deal of pain to get this shot. I don't expect it to do well in a challenge this monstrous, but that's no reason not to enter. :)

Post-processing: Straighten, crop, levels, contrast, duotone sepia workaround, saturation, resize, cloned out a gate.

Coming back for comment, I like the overall view but the depth of field dof is rather lacking making all of the surroundings look a little blurred..

I like these type of shots, as one can not only see the storm coming, but also feel it as well.....

Really? Looks like a barn to me...
While there is nothing technicaly wrong with this picture it is hard to convey a story or a feeling in landscape pictures and in my opinion this fails to do that. All this imo, obviously. Good luck!

Not an especially intriquing composition, and I don't like the strong sepia toning to it much. Just comes across a little flat.

Seems very soft to me. I think it needs USM applied to bring out all the detail.

I love wood, and even more so Sepia wood. Very nice shot. I like the composition, but wonder if a little more angle on the barn would be more dramatic. The contrast level is perfect. A wall hanger for sure.

How pretty! I love the way this photo feels. The sepia tones of that golden grass against that turbulent sky look great.
