Very nice breasts indeed if you don't mind my saying so! Looks like the plastic wrap filter on this - quite weird - and almost obscures the rather lovely subject matter! Saucy ; )

what a bizarre look this has to it. I think it's a bit overdone, but the idea isn't bad at all. Using the bananna to add depth to the shot was a good call, but it'd have been nice if it came through a bit clearer (perhaps better lit).

I like the surrealist take on this but I think you should've went with a little more. I'm thinking more like both breasts and possibly a face, masked if need be. I think a little too much is cut off. Idea is intense. The banana at the top gives it the Dali quality to me. Nice work

I think the picture would have been better w/o the filter.

Excellent idea and interesting perspective. Looking forward to finding out how you did this.

Would be perfect without the banana. Otherwise, excellent shot

Thank g-d for that orange slice that conveniently made this photo DPC legal. INCREDIBLE photo! Extremely artsy.... very well done, pretty nicely lighted... to me I would not have put in the banana, but this is your piece of art, and I think it is an extremely creative, technically beautifully composed photo. My first 10 for the challenge! (I hope I remember to add this to my favorites)

sureal bath image..... the plasticized water is remarkable. Love the way the fruit seems imbedded into the water.... and the added bannana on the soap dish! A most interesting picture.

The more I look at this, the more I like it. It's the best use of the plastic wrap filter that I've ever seen. So unusual. The colors are fabulous. The banana is a stroke of genius, and the way the sliced citrus fruits are reminicent of breasts turns this into art. I originally rated this this a 6, but coming back and looking at it more closely, I'm judging it as "art" rather than straight photography, and I can see it on the wall of an art gallery... I'm bumping my vote to a 10 and may buy a print if you make them available.

this is an interesting concept. I like the fact it is shot from above. I like the plastic feel to it.. and the choice of colors is pleasing.

This is a very interesting photograph. Nice anble on the edge of the tub and the green section of wall. The texture of the water is very unique. The position, color, and brightness of the banana defintely draws the eye and leave the viewer wondering why it is so important.

I assume that's a post-processing edit filter (shrink wrap?), but it doesn't add to the image to me. I like the setup (maybe without the banana) and the colour is good too. I should make a melon joke here, but I won't. I'm above that. :)

Love the effect on the water surface! Now if you\'d just skipped the banana and given us a little more of the model...

cool effect! Looks like she is in a sangria bath! The banana is tring to be funny but I think it just distracts from a nice subject. Really wonderful texture and reflections.

Very interresting. Is this real or a photoshop creation? Why does one bathe in fruit? Anyhow, nice composition. Good use of the diagonals.

Super job, but I don't think you needed the banana. Maybe a couple of half eaten slices would have been more effective. 9

Great idea, good use of the "plastic" filter, havent seen it used in such a good way before. Good luck = 7

I like the concept, but why does the water look so glutinous? I might have liked a shot that didn't show the green shower wall, but more of the model in the water. Good, original idea, though.

lol very absurd; that's a good thing. Did you emboss this with Photoshop or something. I'd really like to see the original. interesting.

Interesting idea but the glossy filter applied to the water is distracting.

Hmm... I can't help feeling that you took the Plastic Wrap filter and then tried to make the shot fit around it. I think it's important that you use the filters, and not vice versa! I think this could have been a really superb shot without the plastic wrap, but it's still pretty striking and almost Hockneyesque! 8

this is a clever image.. the banana closer to the camera pulls the eye from the instant impact of the model.. Nice one.. Only down comment.. it would have been nice if the banana was sharper and perhaps without the shadow behind it? 7

I don't know what kind of filters or effects you have put on this (although it looks like the plastic wrap effect), but I really strongly dislike it. It looks anything but realistic, and the effect didn't work too well, I am afraid. Try again!
07/11/2003 02:09:08 AM
the photoshop technique is too obvious here IMO, although I like the idea of the shot quite a lot and it is a fine example of the filter that you used.

Nice try. It shows you wanted to be original, and it\'s a good thing. Unfortunately, the wrap filter in Photoshop is a well known tool and its effect is unfortunately not that original. The ocmposition is nice though. Perhaps it would have been a great shot wihtout the effect. 6 for the effort.

Pretty cool effect... It kind of messed up the leg a little but great idea. I really like the colors.
