I'm clueless about what the username means, I assume it has something to do with guns. This is what would be called a snap shot on DPC and that is not usually a compliment. No matter how much time you spent setting up this shot, it has several flaws that are 'unforgivable" to the voters. First there is not clear point that is in focus, it all looks slightly out of focus. This could be camera shake, it looks like the light was not very bright. At slower shutter speads it is difficult to hold the camera perfectly steady. I could be that the auto focus on your camera could not decide where to focus because the main object is very dark and the light is low. Next the white balance is off. The whole image looks yellowish because of the incandescent light. Most cameras have a white balance setting to correct this. Or a photo editing program could correct it. And last is composition. An object place dead center is not often the most viewer pleasing arrangement. Try placing the main subject at one of the rule of thirds points and see if that improves your score. |
