Congrats on your first ribbon!

I can't add much that hasn't already been said, but I can say this. There were many in the challenge that used a leading line only partially in focus. And while this adds interest, it does not add to the seperation of the subject, so needs more. You added this more with the sheet music. While many isolated words with DOF, thus providing a subject, this alone does not provide much interest. By combining the two you created interest and a subject that provoked even more interest (however unintentional) by it's unusualness.

Add to this the wonderful lighting and tones the only think I could think of to improve it would have been to include another sheet of music closer to the camera to emphasis the OOF of the foreground.

As I said, the lighting is wonderful, but it appears bringing the lighting up to this level in post-processing created some problems in the darker areas. This is unfortunate, but not critical enough to drag the photo down much.

Again, congrats on your first ribbon -- I would say you redeemed yourself nicely.

Well I thank you all for your votes and comments. Now let me answer one of the questions raised during this. The sheet music is not "Who let the dogs out" but actually Shrek dance party, it is a medley including just the way you are, Y.M.C.A., do you really want to hurt me, stayin' alive, who let the dogs out, feelings, happy together. arranged by paul murtha.

It was the only music sheet in my daughter's collect that wasn't torn up, wrinkled or stained. I never relized who let the dogs out untill after the voting started.

7 - Very good. Unusual sheet music there for this instrument. Criticism; looks like some gamma (could be grain) issues in the dark areas, especially at the fore. Good focus/focal points, good texture capture on the instrument and good DOF. Perhaps a variation in composition and/or framing may have made this even better, not sure. Up to 7 from 6.

I like this. DOF isn't as shallow as some, but it is a nice subject.

Is this goodman? If not, please consider this comment as a praise for your image. The DOF is excellent and the mirror-like reflections is stunning. Hehehehhe. I love your choice of "music". Hey who let your scores out? 9
