 My cat, Clyde, contemplating a mouse made of cheese (mild cheddar for those interested). Luckily, he likes cheese almost as much as mice... I had difficulty keeping him from biting off its nose.

Oh WOW ! 2 ribbons in a week.... I obviously had a creative burst ! Thank you for the comments and votes, again I enjoyed taking this one; thank you to my husband who carved the mouse (to my specification!) and to Clyde, who although seems to be sitting quietly, wasn't easy to control at all ! Lots of outtakes, but luckily this one was just right. Thanks again.

Great idea and great execution. Getting a cat to sit still to order is quite a task. The background colour really complements the subject and is not overpowering. Incidentally, there appears to be a slightly paler band across the background just above the 'mouse'. Rather than detract from the image, I feel that this, too, helps to prevent the background becoming too much. Great look of curiosity on Clyde's face. He looks as though he's just about to swat the mouse.

Sweet - and a certainly a photo that makes you smile moment. Nice background colour. Great capture of cat's eyes on the mouse carving of cheese(very original) Congrats froglet.

Great idea and execution, nice composition, color, and cheese carving. I wish for just a touch more DOF and sharpness. The image makes me smile, love it!

Such an intent look from the cat, and I love the way the 'mouse' is looking up at his predator! Nicely composed and captured. One of my favorites from the challenge! Good luck on a ribbon!

Thats great - love the cats expression, how did you manage to get it to keep still for that long, I can only photo my cats when they are asleep, never stay still!
