nice use of shallow DOF - I like the burred snowman in the back. Good capture of the snow without turning it blue or blowing it out. Focus is right on.

In Christmas cheer - bumping you to a 9

Great shot. I think the background is a little distracting.

Jewelry is hard to shoot. Nice job on this one.

Very nice...What's the deal with the blurry blob in the background behind the heap of snow though?

very nice shot and very well done. I would like to see the crop played with just a little bit, mabey no background just the watch and the snow. either way it's a very well done shot. the lighting is very diffuse and that is nice to see and your lighting ratio is dead on! great job 10

Nice and crisp.

Nice focus and subject. I'd like to see this cropped tighter on the top or at a different angle to have just the ice filling the frame (the background isn't really necessary imho).

nice pic, a tighter crop to get rid of the distracting background may help

Very nice concept and fairly well executed. The watch looks great and I like the hint of the red scarf in the background (although it appears a bit murky). The snow in the foreground is a bit overexposed---most of the detail is blown out. Great effort!

Well, in my opinion, this would have been better if it were just snow and the watch. Other than that, this is a great shot.

Great job. Reflections are clean and managed. Nice composition. Red in background is a little distracting, maybe less DOF would help.

Not crazy about the background, it really doesn't add anything to the photo. Maybe cropping it out would have been better.
12/12/2005 05:11:03 PM
The background is killing this one imo. Just plane snow there would have been much better.

Very nicely done! 10

i think you could have done without whatever was in the background...
12/12/2005 12:32:56 AM
you could have lost the whole top of this image & cropped it to horizontal. The background is kinda distracting. nice clean image other than that tho...
