Good choice of "spoon filings". and maybe you should hafe arranged the spoons to keep the contents in focus.

I'm a little confused by where you want me to look. The composition of the spoons and their contents suggest that I should be looking towards the filled spoons....but they are not in focus. My eye goes beyond them and there is nothing there except sort of a shadow of what appears to be a spatula and it is not in focus either nor totally in the frame.

Maybe a greater depth of field would have been better.

I like the composition, but the focus is off on this. It looks like the spilled spices are in focus instead of the spices in the spoons.

I have to say that to me this is a very poor selection of DOF. Nothing really seems to be in good focus, neither the end part of the spoons or the part with the stuff in it so it just doesn´t work like this. Seems your focus point is somewhere on the handle of the spoons... Also not really understanding why you cut off parts of the end of the spoons and have so much space up in the left corner, I would have had all the parts of the spoons in the frame. On the positive side it seems well exposed and wb looks correct, a bit flat though, could use some more contrast. Couldn´t bring myself to give a higher rating than a 4 even though it´s obviously on topic...

Good composition and set up here. I really like the angle and you've chosen good interesting spices to fill the spoons with. I wish that the DOF was a little larger so that more of the spoons were in focus a little better. Lighting looks good!

Unfortunately, I think this suffers from lack of focus. The part of the photo that is sharp and in focus is centered in the stem of these spoons, and I think it throws off the entire composition.

nice idea, but your point of focus is misplaced. the angle is fine, but the cropping is out of balance. if you keep on working at this one, you could probably come up with a nice print. definitely a shoot worth revisiting.

I think you have a good idea here, the colours are nice, the shapes are nice, but I also think that the picture might be more effective if the focus where different. It is too narrow (the field in focus) IMO for the photo to be effective.

focus seems a bit off. Perhaps more on the spoon contents would have helped, but I like the idea.

I love the composition, the angles and the colors. Only thing I'd do differently is to have the focus in a different spot, or a slightly bigger DOF. 7

A great idea, and I like the composition a lot. I would have gotten the focus sharper on the contents of the spoons... it looks like the focal point was an inch or so closer to the camera.

Interesting picture. But I am not sure what is mant to be in focus.

If the focus could have been more on the contents of the spoon it would have more impact. I like the placement and angle of the spoons, the different colors and textures are perfect
