Taken at Lower Antelope Canyon in Arizona. This is my first time there with a real camera. The last time I visited (years ago) I had only a point and shoot film camera and didn't understand shutter speeds, aperture or why not to use flash. Anyway - here is one of my favorite shots, I hope you like it too!

PP: Slight adjustments to:
Levels, color balance, saturation and contrast

Post Challenge: Thank you to everyone for your votes and comments! I am humbled and honored to be in the top 10 with so many other great shots in this challenge.

Hey, I was there this summer! Nice job, and congrats on a good finish. I'll have to go back through my shots and see if I can identify this spot. :) Were you on one of the "rush" tours, or were you there for the photographer's extended tour? We went on the regular tour, and I was a little frustrated at being rushed through.

This was my first choice for this challenge! You really captured this well. Then again, it's almost impossible to take a bad picture in Antelope Canyon.

I have seen many photos of this place, but I never get sick of it. You captured (or created) yet another hue, and you did well with what I imagine is probably a bit of an exposure challenge. 9

The abstractness of this is very artfully captured. It looks like something Georgio O'Keefe would have painted during her time in the desert southwest. I love the tonal variations and the complementary orange and purple. The shadow and light is superb. The striations of the rock are very interesting and serve as leading lines to send your eye back and forth across the image. Great perspective too. You took a beautiful work of nature and captured it in an extraordinary way! WOW

The return of an old favourite, this capture has a feeling of silk billowing in the wind.

The capture of the wall textures is beautiful.

Good textures and colors here, perspective too. Gives me a lot to look at and imagine, which in this case is a good thing. I see hearts, snake heads, chocloate, its definately an interesting iage, well done. 9

7 - Very nice. Criticism; colors are nice but look like they have been 'tweaked' a fraction too much (apologies if wrong). Good capture of what appears to be a type of cavern/cave, at least that is what it looks like from this angle. Like to see more detail in the texture of the very fore wall/rock, but that might be difficult to still be able to retain the focus where you have it as is, so who knows. This at wall size, the frame might suit, but in my opinion, at this size, it detracts, especially being so thick.

Wow, is all I can say. Love your use of light to bring out the texture of the rocks and its different layers.
