I've wanted to do a "group" shot of my "band" for awhile (I have a small home recording studio, and play keyboards as well as guitar, bass, and drums), and this seemed like the perfect challenge for it. My original idea was to do a serious entry, until I realized that the guitar headstocks would overlap with the next frame over.

Processing included (in no particular order) merging the three images, adjusting levels, sharpening, cloning out small things, cropping out larger things, resizing, and adding the border (pixel-by-pixel in some places--tedious!) Also, when merging the files, I cut-and-pasted copies of the guitar headstocks from one image to the next one over--hopefully that's not frowned upon too much.

-------------------------

Thanks for all the kind and helpful comments everyone! I was mostly happy with how this one turned out, and it's currently my highest-scoring entry--woohoo!

I plan on eventually redoing some of the softer-focused panels, and adding one or two more with my keyboard and maybe a microphone, and using it for a CD cover.

Now all I have to do is record the CD. Piece o' cake...

Surprisingly low finish for such a well-wrought piece of work, IMO. I like it very much.

This one should be the winner. I keep coming back to it over and over again - there isn't anything better that I've seen yet.
Congratulations!

Very clean and effective use of framing.
One of my top 10 favorites in this challenge.
Kudos for the creativity, and bumping to a (9).

I like the idea and the differences between the frames, but wish there was more going on in the background instead of plain white.

Awesome! This is a creative take on the framing, that's for sure. The first two could stand to be as sharp as the last, but this is really great!

Another creative one. I like the idea a lot. The lighting is just a tad cast (red), but your composition makes up for it. 10 otherwise...9 for now.

I would like to know how to get parts of one panel to overlap into another panel.

Clever! I like it. Thinking out of the box. (ha ha.) The colors seem a wee, tiny bit flat to me, but still, a really good use of the format.

Nice one man band you have got goingn there! Extra point for letting the story pop to the frame and get in the way of the next "member". Very neat conception.

I love how the guitars cross over the panels. I can't figure out how you did it. I hope you explained -- I want to see when we are done. Very creative and well done. I love it!

Heck of a nice piece of work. Conceptually first rate. The leftmost panel doesn't seem quite as crisp and pure as the other two, and that bothers me a bit.

very good idea! Like it a lot :0) Wish your focus was a bit better (or does it just need sharpening?) One of the two...
