I think you did an awesome job with this piece. Even though it's classified as digital art and is manufactured, it is totally believable. I live in this area where the afternoon monsoon T-storms can be on one side and the sun shining on the other, particularly during this time of day as the sun is setting. The part right above the rock formation where the color is purplish in this image, I usually see parting storms for real tending be a bit more bluish and darker at the horzin than redish. (that might make sense) I bit of cloud-like texture in the sky would seal the deal for appearing completely real.

Overall it's really nice, Steve.

This image really borders I think on digital art. Even though to me, the image minus the sky does give a nice artistic feel for me, the sky itself totally throws me off and for me looks extremely out of place. The shadows are very pronounced and the placement of the lightning leads me to think the shadows would be a bit different especially on the tops of the plateaus. I like the lighting, and I like the plateaus and ground. I just personally don't care for them together.

This fantastic composite is the first favorite that I have collected in a long time. Where and how did you get the image of the lightning?

This photo shows you do not need to have a top model nikon or canon to get a top photo.:)

I've seen cool lightnings before but whooaa... your capture would be near perfect even without them! Although I presume you have used quite a bit of post processing (with 1/250th you'd be _a little lucky_ to get lightning like that!) it is very professionaly done.

Holy cow!!! That's an awesome scene, even if you "helped" it along a little. The contrasting colors even make the thumbnail jump out!
