The City of Pittsburgh, PA taken from the famous West End Overlook. The river in the center is the Ohio - to the left of the city the Allegheny and the right is the Monongahela. The lens was at 54mm, handheld about 3:15 in the afternoon. There is a lovely fountain at the Point but it gets turned off when it is windy as it was today. Rain off and on, but I managed to get some late day sun for this shot.

Beautiful. Just a little bit dark in the bottom right. Still 9 from me.

Something about the composition of this throws it off a little, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Maybe the city line could be just a little lower?

Nice shot. Why wasn't the fountain on at the point? It was on in the other shot of Pitt in this challenge.

Mmm, the old Golden Triangle from Mt. Washington. I've done many shots from here, but I have to say the two entered in this challenge are superior to anything I've been able to pull off. You caught a nice light on this one.

I like this cityscape, but if you tilted the frame either further down or further up it would be more dramatic. Or you could crop it so it's a panorama.

-i could be wrong on this but... when i think of landscape i think of trees, streams, mountains... not buildings
-none-the-less, it is a wonderful photo: great sky, nice colors in the water, you definitely captured the essence of this city in your frame

Hey... this looks familiar! Nicely done, Chris... I think this will be an interesting DPC experiment to see if there's a "night and day difference" between night and day shots. Too bad the fountain wasn't on :)

Beautiful cityscape. Unfortunately, I can't help but compare it to the almost identical night shot titled "Confluence". Both have strong merits. This is a great location and capture.
