Avuxeni is my usual screenname, that I use in other sites. It is a Tsonga word that means warmest greetings. (Tsonga is the language I learned in the Peace Corps.)And yes, my lipstick is a little crooked. I was in a hurry because the camera battery was dying.
My sweet husband helped me with the border and the lighting. He's awesome!

the apple green bakground is good, its nice to blend it with your red lips...a little overexposed in your forehead, dont its just a minor comments, it does not affect your score...good work ...good luck..

The bright green is just brilliant - it's so refreshing after 200 pictures in B&W. Great job, a little bit too bright on the face, but not a big deal.

Great use of color -- the strong background doesn't detract, which I'd have guessed it would.

beautiful. :) I love the tiny and dark shape of your mouth, reminds me of cinnamon heards. The highlights of your hair are also just lovely. :) I love the contrast of background against the lips.

Nice photo but way too much flash. thanks

I think this would work better if not so overexposed in the highlights - otherwise it's a nice portrait.

i like the colors, the lime background, the lipstick. It's a little washed out lokking though, the light is a little too strong. good shot. 7.

I love the background color with the very pretty white skin. I love the pose. The lighting might be a tad harsh but it could work with me if it is what you intended. High-key photography. ;-) Good luck.

too much lighting on the front right - not enough on the left

What a lovely woman! I do however, think that the lighting is too bright here and that it's washed out your beautiful creamy white skin. It appears it was your intention to have your skin contrasted with the background and your lips and I think that was a good strategy, just not carried out effectively.

Also, I think the photo effectively displays your essence in that the choice of a chartruse background and your stare into the camera tells me you are bold and spirited. If this was your intention, then you have accomplished that goal.

That said, this is one of my favorite photos of the challenge and I am rooting for you to finish highly. Good luck to you.

Harsh colors and lighting, but they seem to work pretty well here with this very attractive model.

Very stark photo. I like the blown out sections a lot, they make your eyes and lips stand out more. I don't really care for the lime green background, but that's a personal preference :)

I'm glad you kept this in color. Great choice of backdrops as it highlights your natural color (particularly your eyes) and beauty.

I think the background takes away more from this shot than it adds. I hate to use this word, but it distracts me from the subject.

Hi again :-) I know this face well don't I! You are very photogenic. I like the choice of color for the background, it matches your hair wonderfully - 9.

Nice picture but I would have preferred the highlights less blown out.

Nice work. The green background is a little overbearing for me, bt that's just me!! I like the way you are looking directly at the camera with a natural look on your face. Nicely done.
