I'd say the 1's you received were from those who were jealous. Fantastic photo, and you probably got those ones cause you do have a great bod and quite a talent for showing it very tastefully. Well done and I was one of the 8 tens you got, I was hoping you would have placed in the top 10 but not a bad finish!

I thought this was a really great photo, and thought that it would atleast place in the top 5. I would have liked to see the eyes more seductive looking... ;) I gave you a 9 though.

Very lovely. If only I had you as a model! This touches on one of my basic goals in photography...to express male senusality and passion. Still looking for the perfect model...sigh. Good job!

Ok - this is a shot where I want to mark you down, cos you're just too good looking. But the photo is near perfect. I can't fault it. The addition of the bracelet is great - well we've got to have our eyes diverted when looking in that direction anyway. Big ticks for lighting, focus and composition, so I'll give you a 10. Hmm, not on second thoughts, I'm gonna deduct a point for your looks just becaue I feel like being mean :) - 9

you could have also titled this "say hello to my little friend"

Yikes, a bit testosterone laden and self-indulgent for me! Nice lighting though. 8

I think this is a perfectly executed photograph - the angle of your torso which extends from the dark toward the light, the simple bright adornment on your wrist that pulls the viewers eye downward, and the truly inspired expression on your face. (I certainly hope no one is offended by this tasteful display of artistic nudity, because I think they will be overlooking a very well done photograph.) Cheers.

I'm sure you're getting plenty of comments on the SUBJECT (!), so I'll just focus on a couple other items: the title is hilarious and really adds something! The lighting is so dramatic, too! The only issue I have is that it looks almost blurry on my monitor, and something so precise as this should be sharp as a tack.

I have to laugh because this shot is right next to the shot titled "takimg myself in hand". I think that...oh nevermind. There are some light areas in the backgroung that I find just a bit distracting. nice pose, and I'll admit, nice body. I like the lighting, but it gets just a bit bright on your right shoulder. overall though, quite impressive. 10 for the body, 8 for the photo. :)

Not a bad capture. I appreciate the side light accentuating the muscles and veins, which was likely the intention... The 'languishing' facial expression, however, tells a story with, perhaps, less universal appeal?

Great shot and tastefully done. The lighting really works well to enhance the texture of the skin, as well as the muscles, and adds some mystery to the shadows. It's a really great image of the human form. The thigh seems a little out of place tonally with the rest of the image as there seemed to be a light-to-dark gradient down to that point, but it's not overtly distracting. The bracelet is a nice touch. On the whole I really like the shot and could definitely see it hanging on a wall.

thats another category..

Very nicely done. Great lighting, and I love the additional touch of the bracelet. It's a very tough pose, as though this is who you are and you are ready to take what the world has for you (and you know it's not going to be easy). I like it a lot.

You used the light well. This combined with a good composition and an effective title makes a nice photo. The focus could be better though.

I'm speechless.....drools........Great Job!
06/18/2003 05:09:44 AM
Is it really YOUR self portrait?
06/18/2003 02:04:05 AM
Ahh very deceptive, but brilliant. The bracelet really does leave a lot to the imagination lol. Excellent choice of B&W, not to mention the 'model' too!! Tone is great, but a tad blury. Overall a great image!

Nice textures but the pose seems to be a bit unnatural. I'm not sure what the braclet adds to the image but it is eyecatching.
