Just stumbled across this .... excellent. The combination of lighting, grainyness and the crop make this particularly beautiful.

Sigh - I was so off this week. All of my tens did poorly. Three finished on this page. Oh well, I still think this could have finished in first place. Absolutely perfect picture.

Thanks for all the comments! I can't believe I basically have as many one's as I do ten's! That is so weird how people react so differently to a photo. I know some had an issue with my face not showing. I wasn't going for that. I didn't want to take a portrait to show you what I look like. I wanted to take a photograph to show who I am. (Not an ass) haha. But that I'm a soft person(the blurriness), that is sensual, tranquil, relaxed, confident, and with an edge(the graininess).
For those who got it, high five.

Nice body form which comes over well with the softness and graininess.

Light and tonal design set this image apart. The self-portrait aspect make it magical.

Nice to meet your butt. I guess I was hoping for a little more face. However, this does qualify for self portrait. I am not sure I like the grain and soft focus though. I would like to see this more real. The lighting is good however. ~Heather~

Nice soft pic. It makes this very supple, but kind of vintage in a way too. All we need is a face and I think this gets that much better.

Maybe not a portrait, but a lovely nude. The grain effect works very well here.

Wow, lovely job capturing form -- it feels almost like a medical image of some sort. Very organic!

Very effective. For me, the grain detracts a bit but I like this very much anyway.

I like the grainy feel to your photo... 7.

Almost like fine art. The grainy look and tones work well, but the lumpy look of the sheet doesn't seem to go with the smooth curves of the body

this affect does not work for me, but otherwise I like the shot.

excellent lines....... however the softness that is created from the filter looses the crispness of the beautiful lines, the filter blurs the background and the body too much from a distance, but ill still give it an 8 for compisition

Beautiful.

10! Grain and colour are both spot on. Beautiful use of shape and texture and lighting.

Soft focus and lines work well together here.

Is that a filter? This is so awesome. One of my favorites of the challenge. Makes me feel so un-creative though. Thanks a bunch ;)

Perhaps not a *traditional* sefl-portrait, nonetheless a wonderful image. One of the best here, I hope you win. (*and* you've got a great butt, which is, of course, MUCH more important...)

It's overly pixellized, on the very edge of this topic, too artsy... In short, a wonderful photograph. Nothing left to criticize or to improve on. Breathtaking! > 8

Hello,
Nice Assets. Just Kidding. The grain is interesting, but the whole shot looks a little washed out. But overall I think this photo is missing the personal qualities that define who out are.

I like the duotone and soft lighitng and focus too. The grainyness that you added is very effective. And the way you've devided the frame into thirds is very good too.

Do I really even need to say that this is a fantastic picture? I especially like that the blanket is not simply smooth, but it is uneven. The similar tones between the body and the background help emphasize the ghostly quality for me. Lovely picture.

The colors are appealing. I can certainly see the effect you are trying to achieve - the body's form appearing like a mountain range, the sheet as a desert or sea, but I think perhaps a soft focus may have helped more than the grain. In some ways I like the grain, it gives an aged feel to it, but in others I feel it's too harsh for an otherwise sensual shape. The left area is a little too harshly lit and the definition of the curve is a little lost because of it. Overall I think it's quite an intriguing image.

I like your idea, very unique. I think the tone is classy and the intentional grain works well too. My only comment is just the cloth on the left hand is supposed to a curve with the body line.

too blurry.. too much grain
06/18/2003 05:17:25 AM
you have NICE body, but where is your face? this is nice shot, I like all this noise on the image and the color. Lines and composition are good. But only one question again where is your face?
