I love the crisp detail on your subject, down to the antennae and the body being very clear. Nicely off-center, and it works well with the wings balancing it out of the picture and only the antennae extending in. I especially like that your off-center subject is clearly the subject despite not being in the center, because of the focus.

I wouldn't have put this guys head dead center in the middle of the frame for this challenge, but I'm not going to count that against you. Nice detail in the butterfly. If this wasn't the off-center challenge, I'd have cut some of the leaf off. DOF is just a little too shallow for this pic. Needs just a little more to bring the back wing into semifocus. Overall nice pic

Very well executed and good sence of space and volumes given. One could dream of some minor improvements on the background, but I know how it is hard to control all the parameter in this type of picture. 9

not really off center background distracts 6

I totally have a weakness for butterflies, and this one very unique. Great photo!

Great capture, good off-center. I know how darn hard butterflies are to capture, but I'll say it anyhow ... if your background was less distracting (e.g., more evenly green) you'd score even higher with me. Did you get a chance to move around the butterfly and see if there are nicer backgrounds?

very well executed fore/mid ground macro though the background could be hugely improved by taking some more care to present a less distracting blurred result. The brown/ white elements jar with the blue/white and brown elements in the foreground and form a distracting merger with the feelers. Could probably be made almost seamless with some movement to bring the green leaves to cover the rear of the composition and might make for a much stronger final result.

Verry nice shot, perfect DOF. Can't say it's very creative, but it's excellently executed.
