Nice effect! Hope you included the f-stop and shutter info... I'll be interested to see them when the challenge is over.

Pretty cool, this is one of my favorites of the guys ( us guys don't seem to be doing as well as the girls at this self portrait project). Excellent lighting and I like the somewhat soft focus.

The candle looks like something out of a classic painting, after the slow exposure, but it's lit you wonderfully for this shot - it works, and works well.

I like your pose, gaze and the lighting and the way you've captured the candle. Good detail in your hair, beard and skin and I like the way you've used negative space. I also like the very impressive 3 dimensional look of your face...it really pops out. Nothing much I can say to improve this photo. Very engaging image and very well done. 10

Great shot. I like the use of the candle. Have you tried using the exposure settings on your camera? Might try a lower exposure so the light from the candle doesn't look blown out. Good luck

I feel like this one might work better in color. There's something cold about it, even with the warm candlelight.

I really like the candle actually, I think it's not too distracting and adds a lot to the photo. Looks good. 8.

I had no idea that Matt Damon was participating in DPC! :) Nice job -- cool mood here.

Very nice use of the lighting. I can't help but wonder if I would like it better if you weren't looking directly at the camera. That might totally change the mood of the shot, but it already feels like a fairly dark picture to me. Maybe that's what I'm trying to say: it feels to me like there is a slight contradiction between the tone of the picture, and your facial expression. Still, very good photo.

Oooh - oh so masculine. I love the lighting, and the capture of detail in your hair, beard, and eyes. Nicely done!
