Challenge: Reflections Without Mirrors II (Basic Editing III)
Camera: Nikon D70
Lens: Nikon AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5G IF-ED
Location: Downtown Salt Lake City, Utah
Date: Oct 15, 2005
Aperture: f6.7
ISO: 200
Shutter: 1/10
Galleries: Cityscape, Water
Date Uploaded: Oct 17, 2005

Taken at the reflecting pond on the plaza in downtown Salt Lake City. Many people take photos of the Salt Lake Temple in that pond. I chose to look to the side and concentrate on the Main Stree buildings.

This shot gives only a smidge of the real world, the rest is a reflection of reality.

I remember this well from the challenge - and scored it an 8. Absolutely beautiful detail and color tones. Great job - terrific composition!

Whatever it is, it's great! Reflection without mirrors is a description, that confused
me alot for this challenge. I don't know if that's a mirror in your photo but it looks beautifull.

I love the clarity of the image. Also, i just flipped my laptop upside down and looked at the image and i wonder if it would have been more dramatic presented that way. Try it and have a look (but not with your desktop, please... :) ).

Great colour and detail here. Love how it gets darker in the foreground. Good luck with this one, maybe a top 10?

Is this like an "Infinity" pool or something? Really nice detail in the reflection, though I think it should have been cropped slightly more to get rid of the line across the top. ( I guess it is the "horizon" line or "reflection point" - does it have a name!?!?)
other than that - Excellent, and I'm giving it a 10!
