 I hadn't planned on entering either challenge this week. I was out trying my hand at some night photography.
The sky began to lighten and I started to go home when I decided on the spur of the moment to drive down by the lake to see if the leaves were turning yet.
As the sun crested the hill I was greeted with this! I grabbed the camera & tripod, set up at the waters edge and started shooting. Only when I got home did I realize that I forgot to change the ISO setting.

Very nice colors and location. I personaly don't like this kind of composition where the
frame is splin in 2 very similar parts. Ofcorse this is the challenge to blame :-)
But I would cut alot of reflection OR real trees. Don't have to show it all.
That way you'd be able to get more creative composition and/or apply the rule of thirds,
one thing this photo misses so much.
But I don't mean to puch this critique too far. I love the picture! Congrats

I love the colors of this shot. The use of the lake and the sky greatly enhances the colors of the foliage. The water is so calm and peaceful it makes me want to go here... wherever this place is, I'm there :)

Nice crisp colors, left side is blown out a bit. A graduated ND filter might have helped with that.

8 - Very nice, good color combinations and capture. Criticism; if it were possible, I keep imagining (cropping with hand in front of screen) how this would have looked cropped tighter (from right, perhaps up to the bench(?)), and then 'bigger'. The reflection is nice as is, but I wonder if 'more reflection' (ie: more vivid) could have been gained with a different focus, but you may have already done this (apologies if so), as I can even make out the bottom of the lake(?) at the foreground.

This is a classic 'reflection in water' image. You have captured it very well. I know we often see such scenes but few take the time to compose and time their shots as well as this one. Congrats.
