 Playing with my new flash system. A simple set up of single strobe to my left with softbox. Black background. Selective desat and USM.

Nice idea and well executed. You've used the lighting here very effectively to produce soft, yet well defined contours of your face.

i like this pic how you were able to shade half of the face. the thing that i like the most is how you are able to make the eyes stand out in blue. i've been attempting something similar with a dog photo of mine but not sure how to have the photo b/w then have just the eyes stand out.

Great lighting. The image is pretty spooky with the selective desat which is what I assume you were going for. I really like the blue coloration to the eye, but somehow the lighting seems a tad offish on the eye. It seems just a hair too bright and artificial. Maybe just a hint of burning in would give it a more consistent look with the rest of the image.

Well it didn't start out that way but the more I played with it the more I liked the idea of making it a little scary! :)

Very nice...and menacing. The skin tones are great, I'm not sure if the white of the eye is too white, don't mind the blue, but then I've got a blue thing goin' on right now..........very cool

Beautiful piece of work. Lighting and focus are spot on. I like the desat too. The blue may be a tad too violet, but I'm splitting hairs. ;-) GREAT job!

Holy crap mate! You've gone to the dark side! I wouldn't change a thing in this image. the lighting is spot on and the desatis perfect to bring out your blue eyes. If I may say so, your stare would scare the pants out of me if I met you in a dark alley on 42nd street :) Great job!
