Thankyou everyone for your wonderful comments. My first top 20!! I really do appreciate everyone taking the time to comment on it. This is a Birthday gift for the grandfather in the photo, so I hope he really likes it too!

Lovely, warm and so, so tender as it radiates affection, pride and persistent celebration. Congratulations on your top 20 finish.

This image makes me smile and look forward to being a grandmother one day (yikes, did I really say that?). It is one of the most loving shots I've seen in a long time. Really like the b&w, as well as where each of your eyes are looking: You gazing at her little, sweet face while she's gazing into the camera. Great job!

What a great feeling - and this looks very natural. She's a cutie too and looks like she's in good hands.

A timeless treasure of a photo. For me, I would have liked to have seen a bit more of the baby as it looks a bit cut off near the head, but nicely composed and I like the black and white treatment.

the expression on the grandfather's face says it all; think this would have done equally well in the 'Pride' challenge. i quite like everything about this phot except for the border. well done!

What a wonder photograph. The composition is absolutely perfect IMO and the photograph is balance very well. The black and white sets a mood fitting for this photograph. The expressions on the face of the grandfather is authentic and priceless. The eye contact with the child is smoothing.

I have not had a photograph to hit me so sudden as this one in a long time. I hope you have it saved for framing. Your family room would not be complete without it.

Congratulations 10.
