I gave this picture a good vote.
I do not know the author's intentions regarding this challenge but I like it.
My dream is to have my own coffee shop (someday when I will be BIG) and I thought this could be a very interesting poster inside the shop.
Yes, a bit blurry and probably black&white or sepia.

Oh my goodness. Were you trying to get a blurry look? The color is also off.
10/11/2005 11:56:36 AM
I'm not a fan of blurred photos unless there is an overriding reason to blur it
10/11/2005 11:41:33 AM
nice subject, but very out of focus
10/11/2005 10:36:41 AM
Lovely pose, but the photo is blurred and loses its effectiveness.
10/10/2005 04:18:27 PM
3 for effort, but this is way too blurry.
10/10/2005 03:35:15 PM
nothing is in focus here, maybe open the apeture or chose a faster shutter speed?
10/09/2005 05:02:24 PM
Soft focus doesn't fit here. I like the subtle colors but not a big fan of the comp, maybe a tighter crop would've worked.
10/09/2005 04:45:21 PM
Blurry but you probably know that by now.
10/09/2005 01:47:50 PM
Good facial expression on the model. Unfortunately, this shot is defeated by being out of focus and a white balance that's off. Better luck next time.
10/09/2005 11:57:30 AM
I would prefer to see a much sharper focus here. The soft image evokes mood and feeling, but this is too distracting for me.
10/09/2005 07:19:44 AM
usually i don't like soft but i'll make the exception here. very nice

The motion blur and color cast wouldn't be a problem if they looked like a creative decision, but the fact that the table and chair behind the girl appear to be in similar focus it feels more like a flaw. A crop which included only her face and the coffee cup might have made this more interesting.

I have given this photo a low score due to the blurriness and overcast yellow tones. Compared to other entries in this challenge, it doesn't hold up as well for me. Looks like she has a pretty smile though.

Sharpness
10/08/2005 03:32:51 AM
Picture is not sharp because of your shutter speed.
10/07/2005 10:51:24 PM
The entire photo is out of focus...if you have a difficult time keeping the camera still, I'd strongly suggest a tripod.
10/07/2005 07:42:43 PM
Could of been a great image, appears white balance off, out of focus not soft focus...............4
10/07/2005 07:38:16 PM
out of focus
10/07/2005 05:23:36 PM
focus is better
10/07/2005 09:24:13 AM
I don't know if you meant it this way but this shot is out of focus
10/06/2005 11:19:53 PM
Very grainy, which works for some shots, but I would have liked to see this a little cleaner.
10/06/2005 07:09:58 PM
Soft focus doesn't work for me.
10/06/2005 06:01:48 PM
Just too blurry and ordinary... this young lady could be much better portraited...
10/06/2005 04:52:52 PM
such a pretty pose, and such warm colors. i do not know if it was intentional, but the photo appears to be out of focus (don't know if it's a blur effect...). i feel that the blur detracts from the photo.
10/06/2005 04:16:48 PM
I would like this shot more focused.
10/06/2005 03:27:07 PM
Too bad this photo wasn't in focus.
10/06/2005 02:29:57 PM
The picture is out of focus. Also, the lighting is not very flattering. Maybe adjusting the white balance would have helped.
10/06/2005 02:05:08 PM
This photo suffers mightly from lack of focus and a red cast from the lights inside the store.
10/06/2005 12:37:16 PM
She appears to be enjoying her coffee but the image is not sharp enough for my taste.
10/06/2005 09:31:57 AM
Interesting picture. Its a bit out of focus and the exposure is off. Nice concept though.
10/06/2005 06:04:45 AM
The camera shake of the true caffeine addict? ;)
10/06/2005 01:37:38 AM
focus .. this is not a soft focus it is out of focus. Nice pic but just not quite there
10/06/2005 01:09:10 AM
a little bit blur...
10/05/2005 11:07:04 PM
Didn't this seem out-of-focus to you? Really, just a bad photo.
10/05/2005 10:50:07 PM
Dang, I wish this wasn't out of focus. I think you have the makings of a nice candid shot here but the blur is just taking a lot away from this shot.
10/05/2005 09:43:50 PM
Blurry...
10/05/2005 11:59:48 AM
Would be much better if it had been in focus.
10/05/2005 11:00:07 AM
kind of blurry, white balance is pretty yellow too. keep shooting and entering!
10/05/2005 05:24:32 AM
This would be a very nice shot if it was just more in focus. Good Luck.
10/05/2005 01:52:01 AM
a little soft on the focus
