Post Challenge: I was pleasantly surprised to win a ribbon on this one. I was hoping for top 10.

There were so many beautiful images in this challenge anyone of which could have been ribbon winners. I particularly like 4th place Translucent Lake and 6th place Multnomah Falls.

Thanks to everyone for their votes & comments!

Picture Post Processing:
1. Select sky and adjust cyan/blue saturation/lightness to darken the sky.
2. Covert to B/W using channel mixer. Mostly Red Channel, some blue and a little green
3. Select sky, dodge/burn clouds
4. Adjust brightness/contrast
5. Unsharp mask

Good clouds on the right, but needs more contrast on the left. Evertying becomes a little too indistinct.

Wow! Beautifully composed and that sky is AMAZING! I think that the black and white definitely works here, though I'd be curious to see a colored version as well. Extremely well done!
