 Don't expect this to do well as its mundane...

But, I wanted to try something new and this was the only image I had handy. This is a black and white image that I have painted. All the colors are not natural, they were put there, each color on a separate layer, in overlay. I wanted to see what it would look like and it came out pretty good. Kind of the opposite of desat, I guess. We will call it Resatting. :)

Essentially:
Convert from RAW (desatted in RAW)
levels
USM
Add a feathered border.
paintbrush various colors
resize
save for web

Everyone's gotta try it once... :)

The lens I used is soft - gotta get a new lens!

I love how the light is focused on the two men, leaving a dark void around and above them. Great Editing.

A nice shot. Perhaps a bit underexposed in the upper background? Then again, it draws you to the bright subjects.

I like the composition on this and the idea, but the great amount of dark negative space on top as well as the lack of sharpness hurt it overall.
Maybe 20% or so off the top as it is would help. (5)

The guys on the bench goes with the friendship title, but the darkness of the rest of the card gives me the idea that someone just died, more like a sympathy feeling.

I wonder if B+W would have worked better here. The light grass / plant is a bit of a distraction.
