As already stated, the pastels and the desaturated background really add to the image, making it appear desolate and freezing. The newspaper stands are also leaning a bit, giving the impression of high wind at some time. Very nice shot.

| I love the way those pastal kind of colors stand out against the desaturated surroundings. The snow fall only adds impact. A fantastic pic. |

First reaction was it reminds me of the 4 kids in south park waiting for a bus. Very subtly (de)saturated and a good treatment of a common subject. I like it alot, particularly with the 'other gang' across the street behind them.
The border is extremely effective with this photograph too - something that many others do badly at. Thanks for sharing. |

Very powerful picture because of the desaturation of the background. Good composition. Could very well be an ad for a newspaper. Excellent shot. See thread .
