Destination: Peace through Enlightenment

A Buddha figure I had. I used my Sigma 28-80 Lens on Macro setting. Yes, I know, the word destination is in my title.

PSP9 edits:
Crop, Contrast, digital noise removal, colorize, some clone stamps, resize, add border.

(Buddha means "the Enlightened") the Prince Siddhartha of the Guatama clan (ca. 563-483 BC) in northern India. According to tradition, he tried and rejected first the life of luxury and then a life of poverty and in 528 BC achieved enlightenment and began to teach.

Really nice tones here, and super use of negative space to hint at significance outside the photo. 10

Using half the face creates a lot of impact.

very very good photo of the sculpure. I would have liked to see more of it. the blurry BG is good as well, except for the blue cast to everything. Best of luck /8

I really like this image. Interesting (yet simple) composition, and very soothing colors.

This is by far the most gripping photo of all here. Draws you to want the solitude and inner peace the face portrays.

I like the half face of the Buddha statue. Nice soothing blue tones. I'd like to have more light shining directly onto the statue to create more shadow.

Beautiful idea and the composition is dead on. I think this could be improved with some subtle d&b around the chin and checks so to match the nose. Nice work!
