That is actually a basement, that when viewed from the correct perspective (see the correlation), seems as though the subject is either walking inside a railed egg shape or something else. Anyway, wanted something simple and dynamic, where the viewer really has to study it to understand the perpective element.

Great photograph. Black and white really makes the floor pattern on each level seem they're in the same plane, causing the appearance of the figure to take you aback. Wonderful play with scale and proportion.
