Canyon Falls (Sturgeon River) near Alberta (which is near L'Anse, which is at the base of the Keweenaw Peninsula) in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Low water afforded some less-than-normally-used spots to get to without fear of death and/or wet camera.

Crop, b/w, curves, sepia, burnbabyburn (disco inferno).

You've got that disco inferno down pat! This is mighty fine! Beautiful job - can't believe how stunning a B/W waterfall can be.

Rad waterfall shot! Black and white is perfect...Love the burning, too, lol. Gives it quite a mysterious feel, I love it.

JP this is a terrific waterfall shot. I love waterfalls and this one is quite beautiful. I like how the light is on the water and the surrounding rocks are dark but still have enough detail. Love the slow shutter making the water very velvet looking. I think you did a great job framing the falls. Looks great in black & white. Aloha, Renee :)

JP you've done really great on this shot! You don't usually see as many of the ledges at Canyon Falls as the water flow and level would have made them subdued. Great idea with the B&W too. I love it.

Normally I don't care for B&W when it comes to waterfall but this shot is balanced nicely and very well done. Would love how to use that burnbabyburn! LOL!

Composition is neat, and I like the feeling the b&w brings. I also like the line of the far bank before the trees begin. Possibly a teensy bit lighter on the trees to balance the top right corner, and a little lighter overall.

Very nicely done.
