A vulture perched on a dying branch. I was trying to incorporate life into a "lifeless" challenge topic. There might be other bird pictures, but hopefully this one stands out. The composition was the most difficult because I needed to highlight the branch foremost and bird second.

This is an amazing pose for the bird (vulture?). I love that the head is down and the face is hidden. I wish there was a little more detail in the head and feathers. The image looks a little underexposed. Something about the colors seems a little off, maybe a little yellow or green? I can't quite tell, but overall the shot is wonderful. 10.

The body is too dark, makes the head and feet look unattached

I think the photo would be stronger if it were cropped showing the feet only, they are terriffic.

Oh Gee. I did not understand this at all until I scrolled down to the the feet and talons. They definately stand out in this photo!

can understand why you would not do it, but imo, becomes more powerful if you crop off the vulture just above its feet, imo anyway, do like it btw

I think I'd crop out everything but just the limb and the feet. The lighting on them is great. I'd zoom in and just focus totally on that. Nice idea and imaginative.
