So lee-baby this is a good picture, I'm still trying to figure out how you got it. Maybe from a tall building window or sometihng, or something along the lines of flying. It met the challenge well and looks very dodged-and-burned with the big unsharp mask and contrast, very nice idea to compensate for a basic editing challenge.

Not an easy shot to get, but you did it very well. This will be a good one to work with in your editing software after the challenge.

A nice attempt to break with the convention of tree branches, and as a nature shot it's very effective. But the wire has been lost by a combination of the strong light which has bled it away, the narrow focus which doesn't pick out any point of the wire, and the action of the birds which completely dominate the composition and rob the attention of the viewer from the branch theme. If they were all settled in a uniform line with the shallow DOF picking out something more subtle like a brid with it's head turned, or under it's wing preening it would have been much closer to the challenge.

Wow - neat capture of the birds in mid flight and I like how they're lined up. I'm not crazy about the hairline white border, but I like the use of this in black and white.

I like the idea of this very much. I wish it were a tad better focused. The lighting is a touch harsh, but the linear quality of them is nice. It leads the eye around with the fluttering of the wings. Interesting and imaginative to say the least.
