 maxwell house and milk go well together - a play on their slogan...

i handheld the straw with the end pinched to try to control the drips as best i could - i moved the straw forward and backwards to get it square to the camera, and in focus. cropped only to the 8x10" aspect ratio.

shot in RAW - +.80 exposure - selective color adjustments - unsharp mask.

I like your use of colors. I like how they all stand out. The blue is blue and the red is read. I especially like how white the milk is. Other pictures looked like their milk was spolied or something. Gross. Anyway I really like this picture! Good job! 10.

Very crisp macro shot. Maybe less straw and more milk drop in the frame would have been better. The straw takes most of the attention at first. Love the nice gradient blue background.

7 - Like the concept, colors work well. Criticism; wish the drop were nice and sharp, rather than the straw. An even closer zoom/crop, slightly different 'centering' would also have made this a better shot in my opinion.

A nice clean shot and makes you wonder where that drop will end up, but the background tends to make the overall image just a touch boring.

Beauiful shot. Nice leading lines. Perfect whites.... good blured background. I would say a high finisher in this challenge. You get a 10 from me.

Really good. Perfect positioning of the stripe of the straw and the drop against the vivid blue is done quite well!! My one crituque is that the true focus is on the upper part of the straw and not the drop for some reason, or maybe it's just my old eyes.
