Nice shot. I like the way the colors from the water work with the blanket. Would be a bit stronger if I knew what the model was doing with her hands.

Great use of color and pose. The earrings are a bit distracting for this shot, as is the hair clip.

Like the shot and the concept, but I'm left wondering, "What are her arms doing?" They kind of hang in space, but seem to lack a definite purpose... 7

I guess you get all these silly comments saying that a nude without at least a visible butt crack is no nude - right or wrong?

Anyway, I think this is a very cool shot. I love the contrast between the different shades of blue and the fabulous skin tone. The hair and the tatoos add to the overall quality of the shot. I might have tried a less thight crop and possibly a more interesting composition, too. Then again, I don't know what your setup was and whether the background and/or subject would have allowed you to change these things.

Hope this helps

The models pose doesn't look very natural and the lighting is a little harsh making this look quite flat. I think the same shot at a much later or earlier time of day would be much more effective! Thanks for entering.

Well exposed, but a less busy background and a lower POV would have improved this image IMO.

I think that this picture is great! I added it to my favs first thing! I love the colors and the details, it is a nude picture, and it remains modest. I hope you do well in the challenge-10

I felt this could have been better and had more impact if her arms had been outstretched or touching her hair instead of caught in mid air. Otherwise, very lovely.

Very lovely shot, however in my opinion, the detail in that excellent tatoo is not nearly visible enough to do it justice. I do however love the colors. The pose also is a bit distracting, as it looks like she's been "caught" candidly, and not posed. That's OK I suppose, but it's a bit distracting.

Great clarity. I love the tattoo. The only thing I don't like is that your model is right smack dab in the middle. I wishyou the best of luck.

cool picture. what i would say is get rid of the earings and hair clip. they take away from the natural feeling you would get from this shot otherwise.

I think that the blue stands out but that a better angle would have improved the shot. (7)

I like the color of the towel and how it goes/blends with the color of the water. Nice and crisp. Colors also work well the with tattoo itself. Nicely done.

The pose seems awkward - was this a self-timer shot? Hard to shoot yourself in the back I imagine. :) Colors are bold and good. Crop is a bit tight. I like the butterfly tattoo, but the lower one has some shadow or darkness around it the made it first look like a belly button. Good effort and I hope you'll keep at it.

The color management is great. I like the blue tones, which are not oversaturated. The tattoo is nice. I personally like them, although maybe it's not for everybody. I'm not sure what is being accomplished with her hands. She looks like she is in action, but what is she doing? Movement in a picture should be obvious in its intent.

I like the color of he blanket against the skin. I'm not too fond of the angle or the position of her arms. Good luck!

The pose of the model seems to be just not quite there. I think a shot as she was moving the hands from one place to another. Makes the image less relaxing. Lighting seems to be good, at first I thought it eas the on camera flash, but it is too soft for that.

seems very snapshot-like. The models hands are distracting... Looks like she just dropped the blanket for a quick photo.
08/22/2005 01:52:55 PM
Nice colours and contracts, but her hands look very busy. If it were a pose, then I would have chosen a better placement of the hands. Also if this was your own model I would have used another method to tie up the hair, like the chopsticks.
08/22/2005 01:48:58 PM
nice colors, feel the pose could have been better and wish the lighting cast more shadows on the model to give her more dimensionality.

Although the colors are rich and the focus is nicely done, I wish she weren't so dead centered in the shot. Or if so, maybe zoom in tighter on just her upper back with the butterfly, and leave out the towel part altogether. Her hands up by her hair are a nice touch. I think the butterfly clip in her hair might've been a tad distracting - maybe pinned up would have been a bit more artistic from my perspective.

Absolutely beautiful tatoo on her shoulders. That really helps provide a focal point for the shot. The blue of the water and cloth work very well together.

Good photo, but I think it would gain a lot if it tas taken from a lower position.

seem like a kind of strange angel and a strange pose to capture. It is not th emost complimentary of eaither for the model - though it did mean you got that beautiful water in frame.
