I meant to add that I felt cropping a bit of the right would have helped this shot.

Would have liked more instrument in the shot but then I guess you would have had to compromise the great profile. Nice color and focus. 7

Wow. truly stunning! Love the combination of relative clarity and extreme softness of the background.

Reminds me a little of my own pic:

Strong image. The tight crop and your chosen depth of field together strip away all potential distractions, and ensures the subject dominates the shot . Also well photographed and processed. 7

I like this shot. I am wondering what it would look like if you rotated it clockwise a little to make it look like the artist is bending back. It would add emotion. Just a thought.

Hi, very nice picture, congratulations. I allways liked a lot sax, I think it is an instrument with a black and white soul, like your picture. :-)

This has a duotone effect that is perfect for his rich skin tones and the light of the shot. The glimmer off of the instrument is well done. Great DOF!!!

Nice mood shot, not quite sharp enough for my taste though. I like the figure on the left. I can't help missing his hands, although you would have to change your composition drastically to include them.

The sepia works with this picture. Maybe just a tiny bit underexposed on his face. I still like it a lot. 9.

Fantastic lighting, sepia, composition. The only nit-picking is the background that seems to lean (not controllable, I understand) - 10
