I wonder what would have happened if you had lain on your stomach and looked up, with your arms pulling the legs down in a more conventional contortionist pose? You might have had the feet pointing down to lessen the size disparity and add to the stretching effect.
For the background, did you think of taking a white sheet and draping it over a couple of broomsticks stuck vertically in between your mattress and the bed frame?
I actually thought when I first saw this pic that it was your son who had fallen backwards from sitting on your shoulders...
The pic would do better if it was shot with a view to more clarity.
You could try a desat, leaving the reds and really make your face pop! |

not a kids feet...was my wife. she is only 4'11...so she is just a tad tiny. the grain was intentional...however could not avoid the background...this was taken in a mirror as well. why am I explaining this? it is so horrible! thanks for the comments though. |

Illusion first: The face says it all, "don't try this at home kids!" I think the feet would have been better with shoes on, a large pair would make it more convincing.
Photo: The lighting and grain is the the pics draw back. Also the background is a bit cluttered especially above the left shoulder. |

I can't ignore the background, it's in the shot and quite distracting... The look on your face makes me think someone needs to change their socks...

The illusion of a contortionist (sp) is off because of the size of feet in proportion to the body - it shows up as a child's on an adult. The quality of the image is that of a snapshot vs. a photograph. The idea is unique and well worth developing further. 2 |

Good idea, but the feet look too small for this guy. |

Nice as thumbnail but when opened to much noise. Nice illusion. |

A good concept, although it all looks a little grainy to me. I'm not sure whether that was intentional or not, but I feel that the graininess does not work too well here. |

The idea is good, but that background is a shocker....
I would like to see a sharper stronger focus on the face and feet. |

Too overprocessed to my liking and contains a lot of noisy artifact. Yes, the background is distracting. |

Heavy noise and some over-exposure. Good illusion, though. |

Noise can be an artistic element (Grain actually), or very very distracting(electronic noise). There is no reason for the noise here imo.
Nice concept, but I think you need bigger feet :) |

You're right about the background... It's way too busy...The photo itself is a little out of focus and grainy |

wouldnt it have been better to get rid of the bad background than use the title to draw even more atention to it? |

I think this is too grainy, and the highlights are too blown out. I'd almost swear this was taken with ISO 800 (or thereabouts) but I can't figure out why?! |

OOF (Out Of Focus), and too much noise. Try going down in ISO next time. |
