I like the idea behind this shot..but not the execution. This is the same as a shot entered in the first Illusions challenge...but not as well done..sorry. With the wick being visible it takes away all the illusion.

Good job lighting this one! Your focus is just right too. How many matches did ya go through and did ya burn yourself?

Nice party trick, I like the illusion just wish the flame was more central.

I like the clarity and focus on the hand but it's rather annoying to see the flame not centered on the finger...you did well though, I didn't think of that...

When you align to objects to the camera's two dimensional view. A single top light would have added that extra edge. 6

Great job but you need to hide the bottom part a little better.

simple set up well executed. next time I would take the ring off as it causes a reflection glare..

good idea, can't really give you any advice except maybe the focus could be a bit sharper. i'm a stickler for that. dunno why.

Seen this one before in the previous Illusions Challenge. Still an effective illusion though :)

Neat shot. The image is a little grainy, but otherwise nice job.

i tried doing this photo once - and i had the same problem you seem to have had... the flame was too small when burnt on a candle small enough to fit behind the finger. You did a better job that i did though ;)

good idea clean, exept for a few compression or resizing issues(?) making the wrist lines prominent

Very good! Nice light on the top of the fingetip as well. A bigger flame maybe, and emitting from the center of the fingertip. The hand looks a little pixelated on the wrist?

Picture well done. Just me, but I probably would have made the flame a bit bigger and desaturated the red halo around it.

Interesting, but there are some flaws!
Image is not sharp enough, and it's a bit noisy on the dark background!

Lighting seems a little too harsh. This one just doesn't pop out at me.

Very cool, but the skin tones are a little pink.

i was thinking of doing something similar... too bad you couldn't have had the wick more in the centre of your finger. Good shot though!
