Very disappointed you did not get in the top 10. I loved this and was sure you would have rated much better. Very nice work and thanks.

I decided not to vote on this challenge, but I did mean to leave you a comment.....which would have said, "Walter Wick would be proud!"

I, too, looked to his work for inspiration. The week didn't allow me time to pull anything off. Wouldn't you love to re-create the one with the pillars?!

Sweetly done. Expertly lit. Props so well chosen. "Idowse" had an interesting suggestion about confusing the up and the down....always something to build on here, no?

A different lighting position would have helped this shot. With the shadows the way they are the illusion is lost.

ah. tricky...
very cool idea and nice use of an optical illusion.

IMHO you have too many ellements in the shot making it look a little cluttered. I think just the two figures on the stairs and one other thing would make this a more potent entrie...

Great illusion here, and wonderful use of shadows...Only problem is, the shadows of some of items on the stairs make it easily noticable that there really are no stairs, it's just paper cut out to look like stairs...6

Very clever.

Excellent illusion But I think the image is clutted up with to many items.

simple set up, well thought through. I would prefer a higher light to create less shadow, but I suspect you did this deliberatly

Excellent illusion, but so many toys typically make an entry feel amateurish and distract from the idea. What if you had drawn the same thing in sidewalk chalk so that real people could stand on it, or maybe placed a single Slinky going down the staris?

Very nicely done! The dog really sells it well. The skunk is a bit of an attention hog, and the top marble lookslike it has moved. The dice really completes the illusion. but otherwise very nice.

I would have taken out some of the items. it's a bit distracting for this colorful image. IMHO.

Took me a while to really see how you achieved this... nicely done.

Well executed illusion. Took me a while to get it, but now that I see it, it's really cool. Nice job.

ahh the classic illusion. this is very cool. one of the better illusions in this challenge. the long shadows don't help the shot, but the illusion sort of trumps that. well done.

Nice illusion. The only thing...I think you have too many objects in the picture. With all of them together, unless you were familar with the illusion, I don't think people would be able to tell what they are looking for.

I understand what you're trying to accomplish here but the illusion is lost with all of the characters on the same yellow stairs. It might have been better accomplished by placing some items on the red stairs to trick the eye on what's up and what's down. Changing the lighting to remove all the shadows would also help IMHO.
