The crowd in modern clothing and modern cars don't fit the era.Message edited by author 2005-08-17 19:39:08.

if these modern people weren't in the shot, i would feel taken back to 1955; but there are too many modern distractions for my taste....still a nice pic

Great night shot. I wish the people were in bobby socks and slicked back ducktails!!!

I can see what you were trying to convey with this image, however the people dressed in modern clothes and the car in the corner detract from that nostalgic feel.

Great idea. I would have cropped the people out or exposed longer to blur their modern looks out and used a heavy ND filter or camera set to negative EV (to escape the white blowouts). Good choice overall!!

The people and the cars look more modern than 1955 ;-)

I think this shot could be for that time frame. The modern cars and modern dress take away from the time period. Maybe a closeup of the neon would have worked better and been a little more artistic.

A great shot but the title isn't doing it for me.

I like this scene a lot, but it's also a little busy.

B&W would have helped sell the 1955 theme, but the colours are great.

Longer exposure perhaps, more vibrant? Nice idea though.
